In a nutshell WriteInvite could be described as
Literary Open Mic!
I started WriteInvite in November 2006. I’d written for years, and achieved success in various nationwide short story competitions (including Wells, Fish, Mere Literary festival and The Betty Burton award) and had a dozen stories published. However, the death of a close friend curtailed my writing, and it was in this vacuum that I thought up what has become the Live Short Story and WriteOnTheNight.
My overall objective was and is to provide a safe, accepting atmosphere that is neither aloof nor elite. To conteract the latter the winning of money has been a great antidote!
